The founding team of 30 Chapel Street has now been appointed as the management team of Impact Hub Bradford CIC, dividing responsibility amongst a Chief Executive supported by a Chief Operating Officer, Chief Creative Officer, an administrator and an incoming team for a Community Led Local Development initiative.

Mohammed Kamran

Kamran is also founder of The Socially Conscious Company, a private training and consultancy company, specialising in youth culture, diversity & inclusion and specialist engagement. Kamran was appointed a Non-Executive Director of the Leeds Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) in February 2020 and of Bradford City of Culture 2025 Trust in November 2019. Kamran holds a Masters in International Politics, undergraduate degree in Youth & Community work and has over twenty years’ sector experience. Prior to setting up his own social enterprise, Kamran worked for Unltd, the Foundation for Social Entrepreneurs. Kamran is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a Common Purpose Graduate and is trained in both the Art of Hosting and unconscious bias & intersectionality.

Steph Prentis

Steph is passionate about empowering and enabling underserved communities in Yorkshire to achieve their potential. She has over 12 years’ experience in working with the not for profit sector, supporting organisations to develop new routes into funding through grant fundraising, strategic development and impact measurement. Her work has been broad ranging, involving charities and community businesses in multiple sectors including health and social care, addiction, mental health, children and young people, employability and enterprise.

Steph is a University of Bradford graduate in Interdisciplinary Human Studies and holds an MA in Postcolonial Literature & Cultural Theory from the University of Leeds. Steph loves walking and hiking and when she’s not working for us as our Business Development Manager, you will certainly find her by a canal, on a moor or up a hill, taking photographs and enjoying a cup of tea and a slice of cake.

Imran Hussain

Imran’s background as the owner of a small business enterprise (hiring inflatable bouncy castles across Bradford) is great preparation for his role as the Hub’s first Business Enterprise Coach on our Build Your Business programme. Imran has over ten years experience of working in the non-profit sector, mentoring and coaching customers on personal and business development. Imran also has prior experience as a business enterprise coach across South and West Yorkshire, setting up and developing small and medium sized businesses.

Imran has a degree in Psychology & Crime, is very interested in personal development, is very much into audiobooks – influenced by David Goggings’ Can’t Hurt Me & Kevin Hart’s I Can’t Make This Up – and likes to stay fit and active; is interested in conflict history and Middle-Eastern politics and has experienced many other cultures, including Cuba, Jamaica, Palestine, Spain and Turkey.

Aila Malik

Aila’s key role as Community Host is to create a positive and welcoming experience for members and guests of the Hub. She’s the first point of contact in the space and the ones whom everyone will know as their ‘go-to’ person for anything they need help with.

Aila is looking at setting up a number of workshops which gives people more opportunities to make the changes that they thought were impossible, to coach people to use existing skills to develop new and ongoing ideas, giving someone that chance to recognise their dreams and achieve as much as possible. Aila’s already enjoying being part of the team and is really looking forward to being a part of upcoming projects and events.

Ayub Younis

Ayub was born and raised in Bradford and was part of various youth schemes and volunteer groups, including YouthBuild, the West Bowling Youth Initiative.

Though trained as a plumber,  Ayub later became part of his family’s business – Boynton Executive Cars – providing office management, security and chauffeur services for Chelsea FC’s football players for eight years.

His professional networks extend from London to Rome and to Bradford, Ayub will be focussed on coaching entrepreneurs in the Barkerend community as part of our Build Your Business programme.

Imran is also a cofounder of CARBON:imagineering a boutique digital R&D practice, exploring and scouting the impact of emerging technologies.

Imran cofounded Leeds’ first coworking community at Old Broadcasting House and has worked extensively with the city on shaping its digital strategy, including the ENGINE project at Leeds Dock.

Previously, lmran established Freeserve’s Technology Research team and has served as a board director and cofounder of ensembli, as well as a trustee of bmedi@, the Impressions Gallery and conference director of the FutureEverything festival. Currently, Imran serves as a trustee for IOU Theatre and The Media Centre and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

Mandip Sahota

Mandip spent two decades in the public, private and non-profit sectors before cofounding her own social impact agency, Strategies & Stories.

Mandip is a former civil servant, experienced in drafting policy and advising Ministers at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office on gender equality, human rights and Islamic Finance.

She also led a grant-making charity for three years. Mandip is a Board Member of the Virgin Money Foundation, Batley Multi-Academy Trust, SAFE, and LSE Faith Centre. She is a member of the Centre for Public Impact’s People’s Panel.
